Coach Brakel is the Assistant Football and Assistant Track coach at Castleberry. He also teaches World History at CHS. Coach Brakel played Football and Baseball at Crowley High School. He graduated from Sam Houston St University. Coach Brakel is currently in his 24th year as a Coach / Teacher. He has made multiple coaching stops as a Offensive Coordinator & Assistant Head Coach in Football at Sinton, Mansfield Timberview, Irving Nimitz, Killeen Ellison, and Burleson Centennial. He has served as Athletic Director / Head Football Coach in Gilmer, Texas. Coach Brakel is a seasoned veteran of Texas High School Athletics. Over the past 24 Seasons, Coach Brakel has coached multiple sports including Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Track, Powerlifting, and Tennis. Coach Brakel looks forward to working with the outstanding students and coaches at Castleberry ISD in the classroom and on the field.
