Tim Gillespie

Tim Gillespie is an Assistant Football and Track coach at CHS.

Coach Gillespie was a multi-sport athlete at Maypearl High School. He was a 1st Team All-District Defensive Lineman and Fullback. Coach Gillespie was also a Regional Qualifier in Powerlifting and in Track in the Shot Put and Discus.

Coach Gillespie attended Texas A&M - Corpus Christi, majoring in Media Communication and minoring in Philosophy. He coached track at South Hills for 7 years and was a Special Teams Coordinator and Head Track at Diamond Hill Jarvis for 1 year. After his time at Diamond Hill-Jarvis, he came to Castleberry where he is the Assistant Football and Track coach at Castleberry. Coach Gillespie has coached State Champions in the Boys Shot Put and Mile and State Qualifiers in Girls Discus and Boys 2 Mile.

Coach Gillespie and his wife, Madison, have a son, Thomas (1 ½ years old). Coach Gillespie enjoys traveling, watching sports and movies, and gardening. 

Coach Gillespie believes that the purpose of athletics is to help student athletes become the best version of themselves that they can be through adversity and teamwork. A coach’s job is to be a mentor and a guide for their athletes in this pursuit.
