Sean Fontenot
Sean Fontenot is the Head Girls Soccer coach and Assistant Defensive Line coach at Castleberry High School.
Coach Fontenot is an alumnus
of Castleberry High School, class of 2010. He played offensive line during his
playing years and helped take the Lions to their first playoff berth in 20
years his senior year. Coach Fontenot is also an Eagle Scout and an Alumni of
the University of North Texas, class of 2020. His degree is in History with a
minor in Anthropology. His first year of coaching was at his alma mater,
Castleberry High School, in 2021. He was named the Head Girls Soccer Coach in July of 2025. During Coach Fontenot's time as an Assistant Boys Soccer coach at Castleberry, he was honored as a back-to-back recipient of the Region 1-4A Boys Soccer Assistant Coach of the Year. Coach Fontenot was also honored as the District 8-4A Boys Soccer Staff of the year in 2025.
Coach Fontenot is married to
Marlene Tavera, also a Castleberry and University of North Texas Alumni.
Coach Fontenot’s philosophy is
to attack life every day, on and off the field. He believes in exerting passion
and effort daily to make the most of every opportunity. School and Sports go
hand in hand, and he believes in achieving academic excellence by means of
challenging students every day to make themselves better.
