Coach Beasley is the Head Boys & Girls Cross Country Coach and Head Boys Basketball Coach at Castleberry High School Coach Beasley attended Eustace High School in Eustace, TX. He received a basketball scholarship to Texas Christian University, where he attended school for one year, and then finished his playing career at Midwestern State University. In high school Coach Beasley earned 1st Team All-State twice and was the 1989 Class 2A boys basketball player of the year for the State of Texas. While at Midwestern State he was a 3-time All-Conference selection and also earned All-American honors. Coach Beasley graduated from Midwestern State University with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. He is beginning his 23rd year of teaching/coaching. He spent five years at Teague High School before coming to Castleberry where he has been since 2005. Throughout his coaching career he has been a Head boys basketball coach, head cross country coach, head golf coach, and also coached track, tennis, and football. In his time at Teague he led the boys basketball program to their first playoff appearance in 30 years for the school. In his time at Castleberry he led the boys basketball program to their first playoff appearance in 28 years for the school, and also multiple other playoff appearances. As the head cross country coach he has led the boys and girls programs to 16 Team District Championships, 17 Regional meet appearances, 3 Regional Team Championships, 7 Team State Meet Appearances, and has coached 13 Individual District Champions. Coach Beasley and his wife, Patty, have three children: Brooke (22), Sam (14), and Lily (8), and two dogs: Cane & Rosie. He enjoys playing golf, fishing, and spending time with his family at the pool or lake. I want to be an outstanding example to my students and athletes. As coaches it is our job to motivate and coach these student/athletes in a positive manner so that we can get the most out of each and every one of them. I believe the emphasis put on classroom performance, discipline, a hard work ethic, and accountability learned in my programs will benefit my players throughout their lives which will lead them to being successful adults in today’s world.
