Allison Pierce
Allison Pierce coaches Freshman
Volleyball and Track at Castleberry High School.
Coach Pierce attended Abilene
High School and was 4-time letter-winner in Volleyball and 2-year letter-winner
in Basketball. She went on to play volleyball at the University of Mary
Hardin-Baylor. During her time at UMHB, she was the starting setter and
received multiple conference awards including: All-Conference Honorable
Mention, Second Team All-Conference, Setter of the Year, and ASC All-Tournament
Team (x2). In addition to American Southwest Conference awards, Coach Pierce
also holds the school record for career Assists per Set with an average of
8.48/set.
She graduated with her
Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from UMHB and is
currently working towards her Masters in Athletic Leadership from Clemson
University. Coach Pierce is in her first year of coaching at Castleberry High
School where she is also the Athletic Marketing Coordinator and is responsible
for creating content for social media and the athletic website.
Coach Pierce was raised in a
sport-oriented family with her mother, Didi Pierce, being the Athletic Director
for Castleberry ISD, and both her father and sister being collegiate athletes and
coaches. In her free time, she enjoys watching sports and spending time with her
dog, Oakley.
Coach Pierce’s coaching philosophy is centered
around developing skills and traits in athletes that will prepare them for a
successful career once their playing days are over. She values hard work,
consistency, effort, and team work. Coach Pierce is looking forward to a
successful first year at Castleberry!
