Dena Atzenhoffer

Dena Atzenhoffer is the Head Volleyball and Assistant Track Coach at Castleberry High School. Coach Atzenhoffer played volleyball, basketball, softball, and ran track all four years of high school. She was a 4 year letterman in all four sports. Coach Atzenhoffer was Newcomer of the year in volleyball and basketball, first team all district all four years in volleyball, basketball, and softball; and was a regional qualifier in track. Her senior year she competed in the regional tournament with her volleyball team. Coach Atzenhoffer was All-District All-Academic all four years in every sport. She was also a part of the band and FFA (Future Farmers of America). Coach Atzenhoffer graduated in 2016 from Texas A&M Corpus Christi with her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology: Sports Management and a minor in Business. She recently graduated from Texas A&M College Station with her Masters in Sports Management. Coach Atzenhoffer has 6 years of experience in education/coaching. Prior to coming to Castleberry she was at Sinton ISD for 3 years coaching volleyball, basketball and softball. She helped lead their volleyball team to the regional tournament. She was also voted Teacher of Promise in 2017. Coach Atzenhoffer has four children: Emerson (6), and triplets Griffin, Barrett, and Kayce.
